They come for the historic Gruene District and the fun Schlitterbahn Waterpark. The resorts here are peaceful spots to relax after a day of activities.

I’ve recently explored the resorts here, each with its charm. I’ve stayed at places perfect for families and others ideal for couples. What makes them special is more than the comfortable rooms or the tasty food. It’s the friendly people and their stories that make your stay unforgettable.

Here, I’ll share my experiences at these resorts. I’ve had fun, relaxed, and learned about the local culture.

When rating these resorts, I looked at everything. I considered their location, feel, food, facilities, service, and what guests say. But I also added my thoughts. So, let’s find out what makes these resorts so wonderful.

The Country Inn & Suites by Radisson in New Braunfels is really well located. It’s close to the city and the peaceful Texas Hill Country. When I walked into the resort, I immediately felt at home. The lobby was cosy, with warm colours and comfortable chairs.

My room was more spacious than I expected and offered plenty of room to relax. I also appreciated the modern amenities, especially the reliable, free Wi-Fi, which was necessary for me.

Breakfast at the resort was a treat. It was served in the in-house area and offered various options. From hot waffles to fresh fruit, there was everything your heart could desire. While there is no full-scale restaurant at the resort, the proximity to the New Braunfels dining scene makes up for it.

The resort facilities were great for both relaxation and business. I enjoyed the outdoor pool – a perfect place for a refreshing dip. While not extensive, the fitness centre had all the essential exercise equipment – ideal for keeping up with my workout regimen.

What particularly impressed me was the exceptional service and hospitality. From the front desk to the housekeeping staff, everyone seemed very dedicated. My experience mirrored the positive reviews I had read about this resort. Guests often praise the cleanliness and attentive nature of the staff.

However, during my stay at this resort, I found that there was a strong and persistent odour of cigarette smoke even in the rooms designated as non-smoking.
